Three liters (0.79 gal); that’s how much I got out of the veggies. Honestly, I’m a little disappointed.
- 2 heads of celery
- 1 bunch of lacinato kale
- 1 bunch of green kale
- 1 bunch of romaine lettuce
- 5 lbs of carrots
How the hell is that not at least a gallon? I had read you can get a gallon out of one head of celery and roughly 2 lbs of greens. I guess I didn’t weigh the greens, but damn, I also had FIVE POUNDS of carrots.
Oh, and side effect of juicing mass amounts of carrots? Some of the plastic parts of my juicer are now permanently orange. At least, scrubbing them under hot water wasn’t doing the trick.
Anyway, the 3 liters were each a bit different:
1 mostly carrot
1 celery/kale (dark, dark green! mmmmm)
